One week ago, New Century Chamber Orchestra boarded a plane to head to Cleveland. Four concerts (and four standing ovations later), they are getting ready to leave Chicago and head back to California for the last leg of the tour.
The musicians performed their final Midwest concert of the Winter 2011 Tour last night, at Northwestern University’s Pick-Staiger Concert Hall. The ensemble received yet another superb review, this time by Chicago Classical Music.
The critic, Elliot Mandel, described how the Orchestra’s “infectious personality” created “that elusive connection between performer and audience that is achieved when the music is good and everyone is having fun.” To read the review, “New Century Chamber Orchestra Serenades, Dances, at Pick-Staiger”, click here.
