The Send-Off

The 2013 National Tour officially begins tomorrow, but the celebration started on Sunday in San Francisco, with a Tour Kick-Off Concert at the Herbst Theatre, followed by An Evening Serenade Gala in the Green Room.

Proceeds from the Gala benefited the organization’s education and artistic programs, including national touring efforts. The evening also honored Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg, in her fifth season as Music Director and Concertmaster.

The ensemble gave a final Bay Area performance Tuesday evening at the Center for Performing Arts in Atherton, before leaving today to Danville, Kentucky. New Century performs nine concerts in eight states over the next two and a half weeks– stay tuned for updates!
